Literature Text

Judas

He fed four thousand, with fish and bread
But you're starving for a bite.
He walked on water, lighter than air
But you're drowning in His light.
He may be the Messiah, Our Lord's Son,
But jealousy cannot be born.
Even as you watch Him crying,
As if there never would be dawn.
But as the silver glints from palm to palm,
And eyes met eyes in scornful shame,
There is the lying, guilty thought
That you are not the one to blame.
A cock crows in the distance
As you count out your wage,
Your price was thirty chinking coins
And it wasn't even gold you were paid.
:), it's about Judas and Jesus, though i kinda hope you got that without the prompting! :)
